Handling and Safety Policy

Toxicity and Venomous Species Ratings
S (Safe): Non-venomous with no known toxicity.
P (Poisonous): Capable of causing injury or death
when absorbed or ingested.
T (Toxic): Produces toxins that can affect humans and
other organisms.
V (Venomous): Produces venom and can inject it
through a bite or sting. Effects range from mild stinging to potentially fatal.
Handle All Species with Care! Use Proper PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment)
Important Notes
Unknown Species: Handle with care and use PPE, as
their toxicity or venomous nature may be unknown.
Venomous Species: Not all venomous species are
deadly, but caution is advised.
Research: Continuous research is essential for safety
and education in the reef-keeping industry.
PPE Recommendations: Always wear gloves, fully fitted
goggles, and a proper respiratory mask when handling unknown species.
